The Veranda to Celebrate “Heartfelt After Hours”

On November 21, 2012, our beloved Ray Guard at The Veranda had a massive heart attack. Soon after his heart attack, Ray was the recipient of a new heart. During the surgery Ray had a massive stroke leaving him unable to walk, see or play his guitar.

The good news is, Ray feels great and his new heart is doing very well. He is actively doing rehab everyday and Pat recently told Kingwood.com that, “We see progress as we go. It is just not as fast as Ray would like.”

In honor of Valentine’s Day, Ray’s new heart and his unbelievable will to survive, The Veranda will be celebrating with a “Heartfelt After Hours” on Monday, February 4 from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.  Delicious Hors d'oeuvres will be served for only $10 and there will be a cash bar.

They’ll also be showing off the new floor that Bob Bohmer of Floor Coverings International installed in their room, and new paint job by Russ Sims of CertaPro. Ray can have visitors upstairs in limited numbers that are "not sick". You’ll also get to see the "stair chair lift" that was installed by Paul Rea of Elevators of Texas allowing Ray to get up to the bedroom.

Please plan to attend and show your support for Pat and Ray by calling for reservations at 281-358-2820. The Veranda is located in the front of Kingwood at 2820 Chestnut Ridge Dr. You can also visit their web site at www.VerandaKingwood.com.
