Darst Funeral Home Opens in Kingwood - Kingwood

On April 15, 2012, John Darst, owner of Darst Funeral Home opened the doors to a brand new funeral home in the Kingwood area. The facility is located on Russell Palmer Rd. right in the heart of Kingwood. The non-denominational chapel opens onto a large outdoor covered patio area, shaded by giant oak trees with lush gardens offering a delightful, tranquil setting suitable for receptions and gatherings with family and friends or simply, peaceful contemplation.

Darst Funeral Home is a full service facility, different from any other funeral home in Kingwood and surrounding areas. The funeral home offers its own crematory, and is the only independent funeral home in Kingwood.

Joining John’s team is Christine Price, John’s assistant funeral director for over 16 years. Both Darst and Price have been funeral specialists in the community for many years, and are devoted to their profession. Both Darst and Price offer a unique, personal approach to handling these important moments.

John and his team specialize in funerals, cremation and advanced planning.

An open house is planned for the near future.
