Save Lives this Holiday Season - Kingwood

How can Humble and Kingwood residents make a difference during the holidays? Individuals are encouraged to donate blood at the Humble/Kingwood Neighborhood Donor Center (9616 FM 1960 Bypass) or a mobile blood drive near them to ensure a stable holiday blood supply for those in need.

As families go out of town or become busy with the holiday rush, donation numbers tend to decline. But the need for more than 900 donations a day is constant.

Through the Holiday Hugs program, those who donate or attempt to donate in December may write notes of well-wishes to patients spending the holidays in the hospital. Notes from gold-level Commit for Life donors will be attached to cuddly stuffed animals and hand-delivered to patients.
