Humble Middle School Technology Education students have been invited to a national competition in Orlando, Florida, that will take place this summer. In order for these talented students to attend the class must come up with money for supplies, accommodation expenses, and competition fees, which can add up to thousands of dollars.
Thanks to a group of local construction vendors, HMS Technology Education students, taught by Roger Watson, are one step closer to Orlando. On Thursday, May 15, 2008, representative from several Humble ISD construction vendors presented Mr. Watson and his class with $4,350. Contributing companies were Gilbane Building Company, Keystone Concrete, BIO Landscape & Maintenance, Inc., FSG (formerly Design Electric), Pyramid Waterproofing, and Steel Masters.
If you would like to contribute, contact Roger Watson at 281.641.4028 or at Roger.watson@humble.k12.tx.us.
