MCSO Deputies were able to arrest a burglary suspect from Humble after he unsuccessfully tried to elude them by taking the stolen vehicle he was driving off-road through someone's yard. According to reports from the
Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, on October 8, 2017, a Deputy was dispatched to the 23500 block of FM 1314 in Porter in reference to a burglary of a motor vehicle. While the Deputy was on scene investigating the crime, he relayed a vehicle description of the suspect vehicle. Deputies, who were patrolling the area, observed a vehicle that matched the suspect vehicle description given and attempted to stop it. After a short chase, the suspect turned right onto Russell Dr. and drove through a resident’s yard and got stuck. Deputies then detained and identified the driver and sole occupant as Justin Coker (27, Humble). While completing their investigation, Deputies learned that the truck that Coker was driving was reported stolen out of Harris County. The truck had numerous items in it, which Deputies believed to be stolen from other vehicles as well. Coker was also found to have active warrants out for his arrest including one for bond forfeiture (Unlawful Use of a Motor Vehicle) and one for TDCJ-ID Parole Violation.The vehicle was towed to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office where Deputies and Detectives are working to determine who the remaining property in the vehicle belongs to. Coker was transported to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office where was booked for Burglary of a motor vehicle, evading in a motor vehicle and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle. 4951
