Here's a great story that my daughter and her friends were talking about today. The graduate/grandson is a classmate of theirs. I was all Â
 & Â
at the same time. "...I've never been more proud to be apart of my large (but very close-knit) hometown community of Kingwood, Texas and past High School, Kingwood Park High School. A few months ago, my sweet and precious grandmother was diagnosed with a rare and very vicious form of Extraskeletal Osteosarcoma Cancer in the Gallbladder (first case ever diagnosed in the United States). The one thing she wanted to accomplish before she passed was to see my cousin graduate in late May. When we realized that it likely wasn't going to be possible, word spread quick amongst family and friends who knew and loved her. Shortly after, something amazing happened. Within 1 hour of being notified by friends, the principals of Kingwood Park (Mr Johnson & Mr Ruffin) showed up at my grandparent's house dressed and ready with my cousin's diploma and held a graduation ceremony in her living room. The best part is, it happened on her last day of being fully responsive and aware. Today, my lovely, selfless, and evergiving grandmother passed away peacefully with the family surrounding her bedside after months of suffering and pain. My family (and grandmother) could not be more thankful that her dying wish came true before she left us."  ~ Shelby Eastman (Facebook) 4951
