Humble BBQ Cook Off

Super fun event! $15 for adults and $10 for kids. Entry includes one meal and wrist band access for both Saturday and Sunday 2/3-2/4.

Never been?

Well, the Cook Off is a collection of hundreds of tents surrounding the Humble Civic Center housing individual cooker teams and private parties. These cookers are competing for fabulous cash prizes, trophies, and belt buckles.

If you have an invite to one or more of these tents, you are good to go! If not, there is a public party area as well.

Enter through the big covered Arena and you'll find everything you need for a fun evening. You'll get a catered BBQ meal, a concert, a dance floor, fun for the kids, delicious food vendors (your cost) and adult beverages (your cost).

Friday night 2/3 is the Texas Unlimited Band from 8-10pm. They play a variety of popular hit songs for you and the kids to dance to.

Saturday night 2/4 8-10pm is the 8 Seconds Band. You may be familiar with them, they have been playing the annual 4th of July Street Dance in Kingwood sponsored by Alspaughs. They also play a variety of genres of popular hit songs guaranteed to get everyone dancing.

Oh I forgot parking - that is free but is at Humble High School just down the road. Buses run between the Cook Off and the high school constantly throughout the evening. It's actually a bit of more fun entertainment! You'll be dropped right at the Arena entrance entering into the Kids Zone.

Most importantly, the funds raised go to the Humble ISD Education Foundation which distributes funds via teacher grants across the district! What better cause than the schools and kids of our community?

@kingwooddiscgolf:

Then you just need a tent invite! Know anyone cooking?

If not, no worries. Come on by the big covered Arena for your meal, vendors, live band starting at 8pm, dance area, and kids play area (open until 8).

You could also consider judging. There is a class tonight, same location to become certified. There is a cost of $80 but I believe I can get you in for $40. Then you can judge this event as well as other events sanctioned by the same organization across the country! PM me if you want more info.

And don't forget, it's a fun night out to benefit our community's schools and kids.

Is Skeros there?

@kimmyb:

I'm not sure, sorry. I scanned the cooker list and no Skero's but the cookers all use cook team names so may be under another name.

So this will be going on Sunday as well? If some of the booths set up big TVs for super bowl watching, the food and drink would be all set! That sounds fun!
