Txtransplant Lol!!! I don't think that's how he gets his tree down! RE comes highly recommended as does Fallon's dh. Now I may be talking to him for earlier lessons. Lol

@sweetie:

I'm using that vid to justify the purchase of a nice lever action for my first, annual Christmas Tree Hunt of my own

Personally I'd prefer 45-70 i think over .45 colt

It is sad, however it was only a matter of time until something like this happened.  The petty thefts etc were bound to escalate....  to close to home...

@Andreweggplant:

Agreed. I've been barking about this for a long time.

KW has terrible police coverage and easy hwy access. Things have been escalating from property crime and mischief to burgulary, smash and grabs and now occupied home invasion over the past two years.

I wonder what it will take to have more than two HPD cars on patrol covering a community of 60,000+ residents....??

We're just a couple of streets over from there. DH thought he heard someone messing with our gate right before then. We are discussing getting some kind of home protection because of the way things are going lately. Between this and the HEB break-in, just not feeling as safe anymore.

To me the saddest part of this is that this ahole burglar ruined Christmas for this family.
The best part of this video is that no one in the family was hurt and everyone was ok.
Thankfully the son was able to protect his family.

On the bright side, hey NICE SHOOTING!....Sorry POS got what he so justly deserved. Relieving him of his oxygen habit was entirely appropriate. Justice has been implemented. He broke into someones HOME. No sympathy from me. Now there is still one worthless individual that is still out there.

Alarm system, security cameras are going up as soon as they arrive and the 9MM will no longer stay in the night stand drawer... could happen in any neighborhood. Gotta be vigilant and take care of you own...

@Andreweggplant:

Just 9mm? My three go to's are progressively .45 ACP, .454 Casul and .500 S&W mag.

The last one.....hope it doesn't get that far because damn that 500 kick hurts!

No judgement btw...just having some fun. I give much credit to anyone willing to admit they remain armed and stand outward against our nation of snowflakes. 9mm likely is fine. Just remember....after several chest shots with no drop go for the pelvic girdle. Drop the leg and you drop the problem. 😊

Glad the homeowner is allright and the thief is shot. Certain people in ADC would be crying by now.

@CBP210: Unless it happened to them which the way things are going around there the chances are getting higher and higher every year.   I am glad the scumbag got what he asked for, thats one less pos I have to watch out for.

I am so very sad and sorry that anyone had to take a life at anytime especially on Christmas eve. How tragic for them.  I will pray that they know that they did what they had to do to protect their family and home and even their neighbors.  The person deceased made the choice to endanger others and lost their life in the process.  Just a sad situation all the way around that I am sure was very traumatic for those residents.

It's getting worse everyday. People need to get a job and buy their own stuff. Sick of this! I was out off my car for 15 minutes at the FFA barns on Woodland Hills last week and someone smashed my window and stole my purse and camera. Good for the family that they were not hurt. The thief, well, he brought it on himself.

@TXtransplant

Two to center mass and 1 to the head. Yeah, yeah, I know the head shot is a smaller target, but that takes care of the problem a lot quicker. Anyone doing any range practice, should always practice two to the chest and one to the head. If they are wearing body armor, that's the only way you're going to drop them, unless you get that 1 in a million shot that hits the suspect between the panels, and goes to the right internal organ.
