Around 3AM last Saturday morning, 8/6/16, a 21-year-old female came into the HPD Kingwood substation and reported she had just been sexually assaulted.

According to her statement, she was at an Atascocita bar Friday (8/5/16) evening and was about to head home. She was going to call for Uber, but a male she had been talking with throughout the night offered her a ride. She accepted, and the two got in his vehicle and left the bar. She asked him to drop her off at a friend's place on Magnolia Cove Dr. in Kingwood. Once they arrived in the parking lot of her friend's apartment building, the male refused to let her out and sexually assaulted her. She fought him repeatedly, and eventually he forced her out of the vehicle and drove off.

The case is being investigated by The Houston Police Department’s Special Victims Division. They are asking that anyone with info on this incident to please contact Crime Stoppers:

Call - 713-222-TIPS (8477)
Text - TIP610 plus the information to CRIMES (274637) or via the mobile app (Crime Stoppers Houston).

Reference case #100498316

All tipsters remain anonymous.

I wonder which bar, a lot of them have cameras.  Plus if he paid with a credit card they should be able to identify him.

@KingwoodDotCom:

Can only hope they collected a rape-kit. DNA should take care of this predator. A young woman, alone in a bar, and then accepting from a total stranger a ride home position herself as the perfect prey for a sex offender. I hope they catch him, and pray that other young ladies learn about this case and use common sense not-to-trust strangers anytime when alone as he could have been a killer.

I had a discussion with my daughter about this. Teachable moment. Alcohol consumption often leads to bad choices. Hope they catch him! Hope she gets the help she needs to get past it.

@notfromhere:

Why not call a person you know? Even mom or dad? I am sure someone would show up to insure her safety. What is she hiding? so what she got tipsy at the bar. Did the guy buy drinks for her and she felt obligated? How did she get to the bar? Is her car left behind.

Last but not least

Why should I feel sorry for a girl making STUPID decisions?

As a guy none of you would give a crap if I did the same.
Call me a hater.. Common sense Uncommon

@friday1: you don't have to feel sorry but blaming the victim is low. She made very bad decisions. No argument there. However, the *sshh@l that did this is the one responsible for this. Not her. She is the VICTIM.

This could have been a set up on her part. Guys listen up girls can be economic predators as well. It is not a good idea to give a girl you don't know a ride home. It becomes your word against hers.
Guess who gets more empathy? Let her walk, she won't do that again.

Thanks for posting!  I feel bad for the girl but she did make a bad choice.  I shared this post with my daughters.  They need to know stuff like this really does happen.  I sure hope they catch the creep!

Do we really to reinforce? Awful as to what happened but.....

Take a taxi. Call a friend. Hire an Uber. Hell...call your parents even.

All above have records of the trip.

We teach our children stranger danger.....but later in life one jumps in a car with an early AM perv?

Ugh. Smh.

@silvertone69:

I disagree. I've given more than one young woman a ride home at closing time with zero expectation.

Another time I was with a (no longer) friend at Coaches (1960) and he bailed on me at 2am to take a late night prize home. I caught a ride with a waitress at 3. . ...and I was so, so appreciative.

If I were in that state I hope someone would do the same for me and since one has I try to return the favor.

Awareness....even suspicion yes is a good thing.

The same, it's too bad that people just don't help others anymore.
