It just seems like more tampering w mother nature and trading natural food for chemically enhanced/modified food sources

Txbutterfly : Factory farmed meat is messed with. Hormones , pens , growth manipulation. That's the majority of meat sold and consumed in the us. 4951

It's not even meat. It begins with meat cells, and then there's vegetable cells added. 4951

Txbutterfly: I think this is both exciting and fascinating! From the article: A series of scientific studies have shown that people in rich nations eat more meat than is healthy for them or the planet. Research shows cutting meat consumption is vital in tackling the climate crisis and some scientists say this is the best single environmental action a person can take.

SandyKnee : Here we go! I've heard that limiting meat consumption is part of The Great Reset socialist to-do list. Just one more freedom to be taken. 4951

donnatella : Yes they want you to eat weeds and crickets and fungus instead of beef or chicken or pork. Yum Yum. Meanwhile they'll be dining on their caviar drinking their best champagne eating dinner cooked by their private chef and then they will fly out on their private jet.Hypocrites 4951

donnatella : LOL. Right. Have you watched the documentary? Watch it and you might just learn something about the future of our planet.

SandyKnee : Any potential harm to the planet is hundreds of years away. I'm not sure Americans are on board with losing personal freedoms for what may or may not even be an issue until centuries later, and I'm sure no American is on board with being told, and being seriously limited, on what they chose to eat. Advising is one thing, but forcing and removing personal freedom is another story. 4951

sweetie : Exactly! Just the past few weeks, these politicians mandating we give up our freedoms are all being busted in a "DO AS I SAY, NOT AS I DO" hypocritic game. 4951

I've had some success in limiting my meat consumption to just a couple times a week. My husband was the biggest holdout in this process. Once I convinced him that meatless meals are good and just as filling he started to come around. In fact, tonight he is making us some tasty "burgers" made out of chickpeas and zucchini with a nice tahini ranch sauce. We will still continue to have meat meals and they will come from actual animals, not something grown in a lab, though. 4951

Donnawisdom : I have a good joke on that. A turkey wanted to get to the top limb of a tree, but he didn't have the strength. The bull told the turkey to eat some of his poop for strength because it is full of nutrients. The turkey did that for several days and finally made it to the top. Next day the farmer comes along and shoots the turkey out of the tree. Moral of story: ******** will get you to the top, but it won't keep you there. 4951

donnatella : Who is forcing and removing personal freedoms? And the harm done to the planet is already taking place, not hundreds of years away.
