I read that they are closing because of the I 45 expansion project. I have a hard time comprehending how that construction project will work after it's all completed. It's too bad for the nearby businesses

There is one on Bellaire Blvd; wonder if that location will still remain open? I used to love going there years ago, but the last two times we tried to go. It just was not very good, so we quit going. There are much better places down in the Chinatown area of Houston, to eat.

donnatella : Right - they are rerouting I 45 to run alongside 59 through downtown as I understand it. Here's the whole post from the restaurant and they mention the I-45 expansion project.

It's sad to see it close although it's been years since I was there.

Started going to the original one, then moved to the downtown location. Parking got to be a problem downtown. Last few years have only gone to the one on Bellaire for family and friend's celebrations. Hit them up about six times a year. Usually costs me about $300.00 plus the tip, but I always feel it is a good value.

I will miss that place - didn't go often due to the far distance from my home, but when I did, it was a place that certainly made an impression on me - so so many places and memories from my "olden" days have disappeared.....it's a different world now and I'm missing the old days.

It's a shame that location is closing, but I'm glad they will still have the other location open, and can continue to serve the Houston community. I've stopped in at this one a few times in the past couple of years and the service and food were always very good.
