This is ridiculous. We need to file a complaints. I wasn't aware what a mess this was until reading the article now…

BobRehak : I let HOA trails association know about open COH manhole on June 3. They notified City. City put tape around it. Cover still off. Looks like ground sinkhole nearby.

ForestFinds : Mismanagement! Why didn't they put the cover on instead of putting up tape? I guess they must have sent someone who was not qualified for the job!

Guessing City sent 1 man & it is a 2 man job. The ground is sinking nearby & perhaps they determined unsafe.

billcherie2 : what are you talking about? The overpass above over the RR/494 isn't scheduled for completion until the end of 2027. They can't even start that until they get the drainage easement issue resolved at the intersection. 2029 or 2030 is a more reasonable completion date.

Isn't this the same drain that was overgrown & then found?🤷‍♀️

ForestFinds : I don't see how that is a 2 man job. It just needs to be flipped back on there. The guy walked back there and had to walk back to his vehicle. Now two of them will have to do the same. Why not bend over and just put it back on? Maybe it was too heavy for him.

I'm guessing with the cover and lower flange its about 300 lbs.
