Donnawisdom : It's ridiculous. Why would they do this right now? It says they will reschedule for inclement weather. Well, this should count! My friend is going to her parents to hang for the day. She has an 8 month old so not a good idea to stay in the heat.

StormChaser : Exactly. It should be rescheduled. What about the elderly people who will have no AC?! Ugh

StormChaser : I saw Centerpoint crews on Saturday on Northpark delivering a new transformer to someone. I am guessing that after the last storm outage we had that CP determined some of their transformers needed replacement. Sometimes it doesn't take the full length of time to replace so hopefully they will knock it out in a few hours.

buffaloglenn : my parents' house was on that grid the other day. It was only out for about 30-45 minutes. Hopefully that's the case for these folks today

ChesterAtkins : Yeah, when they plan in advance, they can usually knock it out quickly versus after a storm with all kinds of debris in the way, everything wet, it may take several hours (or happen in the middle of the night).
