Annie : The Woodlands sucks. Only the restaurants are good lol.

StormChaser : a great October concert at the Pavilion is always awesome, but driving N on 45 today between Spring Creek and 242 was definitely reminiscent of KWD but at 25 mph faster. Bumpety bump, bump, bump...

Cl1974 : Agree. I've been here for 46 years. Kingwood doesn't seem to support higher end restaurants. I don't know all the reasons. However, we do a good job of bashing restaurants on social media that don't meet our expectations.

cbear : I agree with that to some degree but they have made some things easier. Blinking yellow lights on left hand turns and keep moving to merge off 45 feeder to roads. Their lights are better synced than Kingwood.

peppermintstick : Maybe so. I have not personally been up there in awhile.

Kingwood has extremely limited retail and very few fine dining restaurants. We have lived here over 30 years but are now house hunting in The Woodlands. Whoever rents out vacant business spaces here does not have a clue about the needs of this community.

Cl1974 : The Kingwood market will not support better restaurants.

Sisyphus : Surprising as they're willing to drive elsewhere for food. (I see posts on FB.)

It's the dang rent. Then again, I'm not sure how many of the businesses "make" the rent.

Annie :
I have family in the Southlake/Colleyville area of Dallas. You have every possible type of restaurants and shopping at your finger tips. Puts the Woodlands to shame. Everything is beautiful and well maintained and easy to get to. The amount of restaurants is mind blowing. I then realize I would have to live in Dallas and DH is from there and will not move back.
