Woodlands commuters!

Friendly suggestion take Ford Road. Although my DW had to be in Spring by 6:30 AM yesterday and we did manage to get down NP very easily to 59 North.

Chrysanthemum : I would use the Waze app. You can plan ahead, and give a desired arrival time, and it will figure out the best route and departure time for you. I use it every day.

Yes thanks. I usually use Waze going to the Med center. It takes us on a crazy ride by Minute Maid but does saves us time.

If you take Ford Rd. you won't be able to take the entrance to the freeway section of 59 to use the flyover ramp to get onto 99 westbound. That ramp entrance is south of where Ford Rd. dumps you out on 59. That whole section of 99 starting with the light at 59 and 99, then passing all through the front of the Valley Ranch center is very busy and best avoided. If you take Kingwood Dr. or Northpark, you can get onto that ramp and avoid all that craziness by using the flyover ramp to get directly onto 99 from 59.

Ticagro : depends on the final destination. I find Ford road to 1314 to 242 the quickest still if you want the upper side of the woodlands

Chrysanthemum : Actually, going past Minute Maid is a quicker route than trying to go straight down Fannin or Main. There are less stops, lights, etc. When I am downtown and have to go there. I get on 59 to 288 then exit Binz into the museum district.

Oddly enough, North Park has been the better option in the mornings lately, even with the construction. I commute through it every morning between 7-8 with no problems

Also you may try leaving at 6 because the traffic isn't as bad. Your decision to sit at your appointment or sit in traffic.
