A woman in a brown SUV had an accident yesterday with my son on his bike in the crosswalk near the intersection of Kingwood Drive and Starbucks area about 2pm (Sunday) - only very mildly injured his leg. She did not get out of the car - I wanted to let her know he is okay. Thank God! His bike is being repaired - if you would like to contact me you can - we have no litigiousness in mind.

Wait, she never even got out of the car?? 🤬🤬🤬🤬. You are kind beyond measure. Uncle Satan did me no favors in my raising.
Ruger5: I can only imagine it was a moment of surprise/ shock
I don't understand. If she didn't have any contact with you at the scene of an accident, why would she now?
Hit and run and you want to let them know your kid is okay?
Years ago in another state, my dh was backing out of a grocery parking spot with two suv's on either side of him. He was slowly backing up and two kids came flying down the lane with one hand on the handlebars, one holding a big gulp size fountain drink. One kid ahead of the other, looking back at his brother, plows into our car. Up and over the trunk. My dh was horrified and jumped out wanting to call someone. The kids, they weren't supposed to be out riding their bikes. Especially across 6 lanes of traffic in both directions. The kid said he's okay and the left. My dh came home shook. I called the police. The sargent that came by to take the report said he thinks he knows what kids we were talking about. I told him, we have insurance and I wanted the kids parents to know. Just in case he's not okay. Yes they were not supposed to be out, yes my dh was backing out of a blind spot, yes the kids may be fine, but I didn't need someone showing up accusing him of hit and run. The cop agreed. Nothing came of it and I washed the soda off my car.
That lady should have at the very least contacted the parents.

Sorry but what kind of person hits someone on a bike and doesn't get out to offer aid and comfort. I hope all is well with your son and he has been checked over by a doctor…did the POLICE do an accident report ?
Because, by law, she is a party to a vehicle accident …just for starters. She probably didn't have insurance or a license. Maybe Starbucks camera caught the accident.

She should have had the decency to call and give your her phone number and let you know this happened.

Thankfully your son is ok. Regardless of who is at fault no one should stay inside their vehicle or leave without contacting parents. That is totally irresponsible.
