Wildlife in our neighborhood . . . Today dd#1 noticed this all

cardinalsong : On the greenbelt! That wolf/coyote must have had family nearby, as well. Now I have even less enthusiasm about walking alone on the greenbelts.

cardinalsong : Good thing he wasn't considering you as a tasty dessert after that buffet! Years ago just after I sold the Horseshoe Bay house I inherited from my parents a bobcat was terrorizing that neighborhood, killing deer feeding on the golf course and making early morning or late evening walkers stay inside at home instead of getting their usual exercise. That went on for months but finally the bobcat was caught.

HappyHerself : I have raccoons and opossums here

sweetie : That sounds normal after reading the earlier posts! We also have raccoons and opossums here in our yard and neighborhood. One raccoon would feed on ripe figs on our fig tree in the daytime. He was not at all frightened of us, just seemed to cheerfully welcome us to share in the bounty with him. I called him "Friendly" because he really was friendly. But I did not get close to him, just in case.

HappyHerself: they must have left for your house because so far we haven't seen anymore holes( knock on wood). It was really bad .

My hubby leaves for work at 3:00am - he sees Coyotes almost every morning in Kings River area.. We used to have a pair that walked down our street in the early morning hours... Since they built that new apartment complex near upper lake and WLH we no longer see that pair... sad.
