If merchant fee isn't already baked into the cake of doing business, they have no right passing it to us, the consumer. when they signed up for credit card use in their establishment, that was to benefit merchant and consumer.We don't ask them to pay a portion of interest we pay the credit card company, they shouldn't ask us to pay their merchant fee. That is theirs and ours is ours.

Fireba11 : during Covid, I could understand struggling merchants nationwide passing that fee along to us, but not anymore, now I consider it robbery, of course I can choose not to be robbed by simply staying away, which I actually have done on multiple occasions and will continue to do so until it changesYes, I could pay cash, but that screws up my rewards points.
