Welcome to all the new members! But folks, my "HappyNew" is just your old friend HappyHerself in a new account, trying to solve problems that appeared in my old account. So HappyHerself is gone, that account is firmly closed, and HappyNew is like the phoenix rising from the ashes in a new form. Alas, the same troubling problems remain even in my new account. Maybe it is a problem in my computer? Fortunately, as a "new" member I received a welcoming letter with a link that opens in the forum chat. I saved that link and reuse it each time I can't get into the KDC forum.

LizBeth91 : Yes, apparently this is a tiny glitch that has happened to a few in the past. Or something similar happened. On KDC all the links I tested work for me except "Chat." That takes me to Cy-Fair and will not let go. So I just close that and open a new window with the welcome letter link on KDC that opens right into KDC chat. It's a bother but it works. So I looked for a better saved photo and found this one when we were eating in a Mediterranean restaurant in Houston.

On the plus side, this encouraged me to find a different photo for my HappyNew account. I liked my HappyHerself photo where I was picking blueberries in Ohio, but it was more sun hat than HappyHerself. cbear : Perhaps I should have been more patient . . . I was keenly missing the normal ease of chatting and looking at other parts of KDC and thought I might not ever get it back.

On the plus side -- I'm seeing how new members are welcomed into the group and how things are explained to them, through helpful and encouraging members and through explanatory and encouraging emails from KDC.

HappyNew : Have you tried clearing your browser cache? I'm really at a loss on how to fix this one. Somehow the old/wrong data is cached in your system, and I can't find a good way to flush the system on my end.

Joe : Umm . . . Er. . . Ah . . . Well, actually I haven't tried that because I don't know what that is. Tomorrow when my brain should be more awake and capable, I'll look into that. If I can't figure it out, dd#2 and her husband will be here in a few days and they will work on it for me. They are both engineers so they can solve this problem. Well okay, they are chemical engineers but hopefully that will be good enough.
