This week's forecast

Looks like there's a storm approaching the IAH area now. Very dark clouds, winds picking up, and some distant thunder. but no rain just yet.

cbear : Yeah. Typical August stuff. Nothing that doesn't happen this time every year. I always pay attention to the tropics but I don't really start monitoring the daily discussions until in September. 9/10 is the height of hurricane season and September thru October are typically when we see action here in the gulf. (Beryl was a one off and not the norm)

xXKaedeKha0sXx : Interesting question. Pretty sure this is the same poster that was asking for a baby hurricane last year just for the rain.

Future model - 6pm this evening. Not sure we'll have enough energy left in the atmosphere to get these going but we'll see.
