You'd think they could at least make it orange or yellow so it would fit in with Thanksgiving decor! Emoticon 4951

GoldenGirl : That's usually a good indication that they need to be flushed. 4951

GoldenGirl : We've actually had that at our house a couple times after water main repairs - some of the sediment settles in the toilet tank, so you have to flush it a few times and sometimes take off the tank lid, and I use a an old paint brush to stir up the sediment so it goes down the drain. 4951

*UPDATE (4:00 PM)* KINGWOOD WATER MAIN BREAK: As a result of the water main repair, this morning at W Lake Houston Pkwy and Kingwood Drive, residents and businesses have experienced water discoloration as Inframark is working to flush the lines in the area as well as conducting pressure testing. Crews have done their best to contain the discolored water to the water mains, however, due to higher than normal demand with more people being home, the water was pushed further into the system than anticipated. This is the reason why some residents are still experiencing water discoloration this afternoon. Inframark is working diligently with their crews to resolve the issue by 6:00 p.m. today. We will continue to provide any updates as they become available. If you are experiencing discolored water please run cold water for 5 - 10 minutes out of a single faucet to flush your lines. If this does not work, please contact 3-1-1 by calling 713-837-0311 to report and follow up with an email to DistrictE@houstontx.gov. 4951
