I'll give a better reply later, as I'm working at the moment. But. I never said it would be a simple implementation. But a right way can be constructed and implemented

buffaloglenn : Then how do other countries do it so well? They have actual punishment for committing a crime.

@Reverb2000 : Other countries don't do it so well. There isn't a free first world country that doesn't have significant drug problems.

buffaloglenn : The white house turned a blind eye to our sourhern border. A lot is coming across there.

luv2eatsushi : As it has been for 100 years or better. A lot of meth is cooked up right here in the good ole US and A.

The overall drug problem may be worse today, but it's been there for all of my lifetime.

buffaloglenn : Sweden doesn't.

@Reverb2000 : Sweden certainly has a much smaller drug problem than we do. But, culturally, they are not the melting pot that we are, and have always been.

CarGuy717 :
The US needs stronger penalty for dealing drug, like Singapore. If you are caught dealing and are convicted it's death. No exceptions and they don't do 10 appeals that delays the punishment. It over in a matter of months. I don't know the penalty for using drugs. I am sure it is harsh. But, I doubt there are many users due to the penalty for dealing. We can't afford to keep these drug heads and dealers in long term jails where tax o as years pay for meals, health care etc. If they are illegally they should be deported after there penalty is done.

gwizz00001 : You think killing a few dealers is going to make the others say "nah, nvm"? Especially in communities where the ones dealing the drugs aren't even the ones running the operation? Let alone 18 years or older in age?

If you're so worried about wasting money on inmates, then why would you want to house an inmate that is here illegally? You don't care to spend money on the "chance" to rehabilitate prisoners who are druggies, but don't mind paying for some alien to live inside a penitentiary until they've served time, just to spend extra money on the process of getting them deported?

I'm not attacking you when I say this, but your views on the matter are (for the most part) the exact ones that have been held this whole time, and the same ones that only perpetuate the problem.
