Vehicle Break In At Kroger. I usually don't vent but perhaps if anything people can watch out here. Long story short, my wife left Bank of America (inside lobby) this morning and stopped by Kroger (WLH and Northpark). She was in there no more than 3 minutes and came back with the driver seat window smashed and both middle and glove compartment opened. Nothing taken since she had her money on her. Lesson learned. However, the officer we filed the report with said this was the 5th such incident in last two weeks. They believe people may be watched and followed at local banks to their next destination hoping for people to leave their money in the vehicles. In any case, both BOA and Kroger are being helpful with their cameras. Nobody hurt so I'm happy about that.

Wow, that is brazen since that store is pretty busy. Not surprised though because more crime happening everywhere.
So there were several over a two week period, and nobody alerted the public?
Wow, not surprising.
I think if banks want us to use their brick and mortar buildings, they need to get serious security. Laws need changed and make it a federal crime with a 10 year minimum for bank jugging.
I read an article today about retail thieves taking 1.5 billion over two years from one company. The amount stolen from retail at large was astronomical and we pay for that.
I think we need a tough on crime policy and start putting real criminals in cages for the peace of the rest of us.
Let the pothead out and they'll be enough room to fit the whole damn lot of them.
Besides I thought these retail theft rings went under Rico act and organized crime.
When will people start getting really mad about having to constantly pivot in a normal day because of dirt bags?

olemiss1968 : Sounds like security needs to get beefed up at Kroger. Just wait till school is out and it's the height of summer heat!

cbear : They have no security there. And if they implement it, they will pass that cost on to the consumer in price increases. Curious...what does school being out and summer heat have to do with break ins?
So I have to get some cash tomorrow. I usually go thru the drive up window. So should I get my $$ and then drive in circles for a while or what! I'm serious.

J2911 : They have no camera's outside Kroger?
I'm convinced the tellers are notifying their cohorts in parking lots of customers that have made withdrawals. You never hear of someone that made a deposit being targeted.
