For this particular Shell station (WLHP and NP), you have to go inside and talk to the cashier. I don't know if they have changed it or not but, like I've already written, this is why DH no longer uses this gas station.

Is this the Shell station at the corner of at WLHP & NP? If so, they must have changed their policy. Good. Having to guess how much money you were going to spend doesn't make any sense.

I do not shop enough at Kroger to get points. I drive a little further to HEB.

TXSunDvl : That's our problem too. It's HEB or Costco for us.

90% of the time I fill up at Costco.

I occasionally use my speedystop account to get 10 cents off per gallon, but I started using mostly Costco on account of I drive a diesel and their fuel is all top tier and I have no idea where speedystop gets their fuel. Website says multiple sources. The guy driving the delivery truck said they get multiple deliveries a day, so at least it's always fresh fuel I guess.
