BrendaT : Brenda T--I am SO sorry. My prayers are with you & for you. Thar car is a mess. Its a miracle anybody lived. My late uncle died like that too. Had a stroke & drove off the road and died before medical help could arrive. It was years ago this happened.
Talk to Joe, the Admin, I think he has something for you. I heard he did at least.

The cause of the accident was that the gentleman in the car had a stroke while driving, and he drove into the pole.

BrendaT : I'm pulling for this fella. Strokes can be a horrible thing. I saw my mother go from a very intelligent, witty, hard working woman, to essentially an invalid in a matter of hours. She lost her ability to speak, walk, chew and swallow food, and was paralyzed in her right side. She had to have feeding tube in her stomach for over a year. She did regain her ability to eat own her own (as sloppy as it may have been) but never regained her ability to walk or talk more than one or 2 words. She knew what she wanted to say, but couldn't get it out, that has to be the most frustrating thing in the world.

Once again I'm pulling for this guy

It being a miracle that this man even survived, and glory to the Most High there were no others involved, I pray God's continued mercy for this gentleman and his family. Emoticon

PeterBee :
I am so sorry you went through that! It is so hard to go through something like that, for both the victims and the family. I will PM you.

1836 :
I totally understand how you feel. My father-in-law was in his 70s working on his doctorate in Theology and was one course short of finishing when he had his stroke. They wanted to give him his doctorate, but he wouldn't let them because he had not finished. It was heartbreaking to watch my middle school daughter try to teach him to read again.
