The Union Kitchen This used to be a great place, they seem to let their standards fall. Think twice about going there, its not quite as fabulous as it once was. im sad now.

Their standards? A little more detail would help. I see others commenting about price, bread, and meatloaf, but you haven't said anything about the standards that you valued with this place that make it not as fabulous as it once was.

I'd heard from some friends that it had gone downhill but my wife and I had a great brunch a few weeks ago. Maybe it's hit and miss now.

MeMyselfAndI : I unfortunately agree. The last time we went (2 or 3 weeks ago) our service was awful. They got my friends order totally wrong (I don't mean substitutions but for example say she ordered chicken but they gave her beef type of situation- totally different meal) and the server argued with my friend saying it was right when it wasn't, another friend ordered an iced coffee twice that she never got, we asked for our check 3 times & it still took us literally an hour to get it, & when she finally brought it the server had a really crappy attitude. The food was just okay. Definitely not worth the crappy service and attitude.

Heathur : In all the years that I have been here, I've never tried them. Sounds like it's too late to do it now for good food and service. Oh well, late to the party again!

We had a very good dinner there last night. The beef medallions were cooked just as we ordered and came with a delicious sauce and vegetables. The side dinner salad was only $1.50, and was good. The waitress was well informed about the menu, and was very polite. We will be going back!

We tried it once, last year, not our cup of tea and not impressed with the food/prices.
