TSA is no longer requiring the removal of shoes at some airports security checkpoints. . I wonder if this new policy has been implemented at IAH yet.?

They required shoe removal ex Houston on June 20th and ex Jackson, Wy on June 24.

Just saw the story on The Today Show. It will be a rollout process not an instant policy change, so expect it for a least a little longer. It's a cha ge in technology, similar to TSA PreCheck which could also be a thing of the past very soon.

Well Houston bush made me take off shoes last Wednesday. I swear every airport needs to get on same page. Everyone one we have been thru has different ways of doing things. Take stuff out leave it in take belt off leave shoes on or off lol. I did get to bring husband' s brothers ashes w us. I forgot the death certificate. But it was small amount I was worried they would take him. My precheck expired o only had domestic. I need to get international this year. I had clear also but then it was expensive to renew. I'm still mad they took my rum in Charlotte. I got it at duty free in Jamaica apparently they didn't wrap it properly. TSA took it.

I must have been part of a test group because in March I didn't have to take shoes off at IAH.

Every airport seems to be different recently. Even taking things out of your bag seems to have been eliminated sometimes.
I didn't even need to show my passport coming in internationally last time. It was done by eye recognition.
