Watching the Tropics: Development Possible in Atlantic. 🌀

A tropical wave in the central Atlantic is producing disorganized showers and storms as it interacts with a broad low-pressure area.

Model signal has increased enough to warrant mention in the NHC outlook with brief development into a tropical depression or storm possible late this weekend into early next week!

Movement:
WNW @ ~10 mph

Model support: Increased but limited.

Development window: Late weekend to early next week.

🚫 Conditions turn unfavorable by midweek due to dry air & strong shear near the Caribbean (both of which tear up tropical systems) 👍

We leave for Alaska in 2 weeks, so I hope any storms brewing in the tropics stay way south of Texas until we get home on the 10th.
