Oh, damn, girl. I'm so sorry to hear that. Someone posted about talking to a lineman yesterday who said there were places that were probably a week out from getting power back. Let me know if you need anything.
I updated my post, so you may not have seen where I added to let me know if you need anything.
JFC, why is city services not keeping trees trimmed near power lines?? I thought that's what our expensive AF property taxes went towards 😱ðŸ˜

"Trailwood Village Community Association (TVCA), a non-profit Texas corporation. Trailwood Village was founded in 1971 and was the 1st village in Kingwood. The TVCA provides services to residents of the Trailwood subdivision in Kingwood, Texas that are not otherwise provided by any Federal, State, County, or City governmental organizations."

I think I just answered my own question. Trailwood thinks it's too good for outside services 🤣

nouser : Trimmed trees would not have helped - whole 80-90 foot pine trees fell on the lines and smashed them down like a hot knife through butter. This storm damage is not because of a lack of maintenance; it's because of the design of hiding power transmission lines in the greenbelts for aesthetics.
. Exactly correct.I have 5 mature pine trees in my backyard and not a one fell over. Just a couple broken branches from one. In fact, a whole canopy oak toppled over onto my neighbor's roof - the roots were shallow.
buffaloglenn : I'd rather see power poles than be without electricity for 5 days. Whoever planned the community in the 70s needs to be beaten with a sack of oranges.
