I just heard that Christmas has been permanently moved to KCC. Is that true?

@ FallonLogic has no place in a fireworks discussion.  We need conspiracy theory's!!!  Oppressing the little man.  Picture all those CC people laughing as they drive by all those underlings.  "They think they will see our firework.  HAHAHAHA"      4951

Youse is a NE thing. Please, please, do not try to put that on the Midwest. Midwest is the proud sponsors of "you guys". Emoticon 4951

ExBlue: most folks I've encountered using it were Minn/Wisconsin/Illinois folks.

clizo, KCC paid for the bulk of the fireworks.  They let them be shot from their property, mostly because that is about the only place you can shoot off any in Kingwood.  Getting  a permit to fire them off isn't a quick and easy thing.  There are a list of things you have to have to be in compliance with.  And the space at KCC fits all those needs.  The CC moved the fireworks from their normal place at the Golf Advantage School, to the 18th hole.  This was for better viewing of some KCC guests, as well as a common sense thing, since the 18th hole is higher ground than the Golf Advantage School. Seems if the fireworks are clearing the trees, why wouldn't everyone be able to see them like they have every year? There were several issues with the fireworks this year, they were late getting started and several went off after the show was over. I do think there was more issues, that the company that set them off isn't talking about either.  Had they cleared the trees like they always have, there would not have been an issue. But lets not use logic.  People prefer the fantasy of Mr. Burns (Simpon's reference) sitting in his office gleefully lol while he takes the fireworks from the community.  Good thing a rainstorm didn't stop the fireworks, I am guessing the people would have wanted to track down Mother Nature or God and beat them down for daring to deprive them of something they wanted.

Agree, Kings harbor makes a lot more sense.  We will probably go to there next year anyways.  Doing fireworks in the trees was probably never a good idea to start with.  You need an open line of sight.  Parking would be an issue.  They could run a tram or something from TC or people could just walk.  I'll be n my boat.          4951
