Sophos2 : Lets say you are right. We will ignore it for now. So much video favors Jonathan Ross vs Renee Good. Audio sounds are extremely helpful too in the video. You could hear her reving the engine to ready the vehicle for ambush.

cbear :
Irrelevant. If the officers had followed standard guidelines then the situation wouldn't exist to have video of even. Read the guidelines again that they didn't follow. The argument you're making is the equivalent to saying I wouldn't have had to kill someone if they reacted differently to me ignoring the rules set upon me to even approach the car in the first place. That's not a good argument in court. Do I expect him to be charged or properly punished, no. The current administration has skirted rules, regulations, and law this entire term as in it did in it's first term. Have you heard anyone in this administration admitting mistakes were made unless laying it all on someone decidedly disposable?

Not that. You're perhaps confusing the ICE officer involved in the shooting had previously been injured in June by a different fleeing individual, an illegal immigrant and convicted child sex offender named Roberto Carlos. Federal officials referenced this prior incident to suggest the agent acted in self-defense due to past trauma, which some sources argue was an attempt to justify the shooting with a separate case.
Local officials including Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz have publicly challenged the federal account of the fatal shooting of Renée Nicole Good by an ICE agent, stressing she was a community member and "legal observer," not a violent aggressor, and that publicly-circulated video suggests her vehicle was turning away when shots were fired. They dispute federal claims that she "weaponized" her car to run over an officer and have criticized the FBI's decision to take over the investigation and limit the state agency's access to evidence, calling it an attempt to control the narrative. The incident has intensified tensions and drawn protests and calls for transparency.
Not a Leftist argument. It's a law and order argument.
If the law or rules only applies to the citizens and does not apply to those who are meant to enforce it, then it ceases being law.

That's not an argument that would stand up in court either.

elguapo :
According to Good's wife and local activists stated she had stopped to "support her neighbors" as a compassionate observer during an immigration-related operation. Her ex-husband and mother noted she had just dropped her 6-year-old son off at school and was driving home with her partner when they encountered the agents. Local leaders described her as a "legal observer" who was not a target of the investigation. So, I suppose being a citizen within her rights to be there. She had not been following the officers like some accounts had stated. The incident occurred at around 9:28am. She had just dropped her off her child. So, being in a public street waving traffic through. Her wife didn't exit the vehicle and start recording until after the officers started to approach. The officers could have just gone around like the other two of three cars and continued about their duty one would imagine.

I know it is not funny, and I stand to lose something from ICE, but that cartoon of ICE killing the statue of liberty is great!
