Joe : We are in the front of Kingwood and had horizontal rain for a few minutes. I kinda like vertical rain. Silly me.
jwardl : That has been my concern. Fireworks and dry vegetation are concerning.
Kittle : So the 4" of rain we got last week didn't ease any concerns?
TexasTideFan : Of course last week's rain helped but this week's heat dried things considerably. Today's rain kinda seals the deal.
cbear : I checked, and all the cells are breathing and venting just fine. Not like last week, which was a choke fest.

That was a good little line that pushed thru. Definitely a little more intense than I was expecting but nothing crazy. 
It dropped the temperatures by a good bit. It was in the mid 90s before the rain and we're now at 74° - but of course the humidity is just awful now. 🥵 We might see a few more showers but that was the majority of it. I wish it would have held off until tonight. My poor dogs hate fireworks. 😢 💧 More rain chances tomorrow but slightly less than today. 🌞💧 Saturday looks hot and dry but we'll see in an increase in shower chances on Sunday @ ~30 percent. 💧🌞 Monday looks like a 50-60 percent chance before high pressure moves back in on Tuesday. I know the rain gets a bit repetitive but its better than the alternative. 👍

StormChaser : It is sooo hard when the pups are scared. They don't understand our human words of comfort. Cats too. Mine ..currently under the bed!
