cbear: This sounds like a mental health issue. We have a huge problem with mental instability in our country. I hope strategies are put in place soon to identify and provide behavioral interventions. Where do we start? I think preschool. Some little ones have had inappropriate or little parenting. Teachers can spot kids who exhibit cruel behaviors, and kids with very low self-esteem, and refer to school counselors.

AND some ( like my DS) were born with issues. PLEASE do not assume that behavioral issues/ mental illness is the result of poor parenting. My DS had a team of Drs from birth onwards
