We go there about once year for anniversary. Nice atmosphere, though expensive. Maybe half the time there is live entertainment. Food is good, place is rarely crowded when we are there. It's a nice quiet place to spend an hour. 4951

I attended a company Christmas party at the Veranda hosted by a former employer. It has nice ambience and visual appeal. The food was tasty, well-prepared and nicely presented, there was there was nothing especially notable as to lure us back as patrons. It was understaffed and extremely slow (inexcusable given that the restaurant was closed to the public and solely engaged for the catered event). On a personal level, if I am going to patronize an upscale, expensive restaurant that requires reservations, there are many choices in and around Houston that offer unique and gourmet dining experiences. That said, I would recommend Veranda as a special venue, catered event (given proper staffing) or perhaps for a nice romantic meal - if you don't want to leave Kingwood. 4951

teatime : It was the owners when my wife and I went. It just seemed like they were trying to hard too be the center of attention. If I go somewhere for dinner, I want the music to be in the background. I didn't go there for their show.Maybe their idea is that it's a show and dinner and people like it, but it wasn't for me. 4951

Slick19522 : The one on Kingwood Dr? I LOVE IT. I thought it was reservations only though... It is supposed to be for private parties I have my work meetings in there. I love their food It is freshly made and it taste amazing way better than eating in any other restaurant guarantee. Only thing is that You cannot return the plate if you did not like it. 4951

Never been there, but the people who own are wonderful. Also, when we went there to pick up our photographs, the smell from their kitchen was amazing... 4951
