Hi Kingwood.com. I was wondering if anyone might have a suggestion for a restaurant in the Kingwood Humble, Atascosita area where we could go for a good Thanksgiving meal. Any help is appreciated. 4951

We go to the Veranda every year.  It's perfect! 4951

@radiogirl30  Thank you - I've never been there, but might have to check it out now. Do they take reservations on Thanksgiving? 4951

@Ann2800  I feel better knowing that I'm not the only one who doesn't want to cook this year Emoticon Many years ago we went to Cracker Barrel on Thanksgiving and it was pretty good. If I don't find a new place, we may end up going back again. 4951

@madgirl: They do.  I would call soon.  They fill up pretty quick.

@ET: The food is good, while the ambiance maybe not so much.  Depends on whether you are looking for a fine dining, intimate type establishment or just good food.  Can also do take out from Luby's and it is good - better than any turkey/dressing/pie combo most families can pull off at home.

Nothing says Thanksgiving like shuffling down the cafeteria line while a lady in a hair net slops some food on my plate. Yum. 4951

@ET: Say what you want but you're missing out. Went there the other week for lunch and had some damn good blackened chicken with green beans and jalapeno mac and cheese. People have their thoughts about it but I bet haven't been in years. You just made @buffaloglenn 's point too its not about the food for you its about the cafeteria style line and the old lady serving you up.

Thanksgiving is not so much about the food, but the people you are sharing it with. 4951

For those that dont want to stand in line at Lubys, there's always the catering/take home and heat up option.

I hate Golden Corral with a passion. It love their dinner rolls.

Consider a pre-order dinner. 4951

I think you can also pre-order meals from HEB and Kroger... 4951
