Not sure if Raffa's or Amedeo's has a special holiday menu, but those would be great choices.

I ran a Google search for "Kingwood restaurants open thanksgiving" and found several, including the above. I'd call just to verify.

@ET: The food is good, while the ambiance maybe not so much.Â Depends on whether youÂ are looking for a fine dining, intimate type establishment or just good food.Â Can also do take out from Luby's and it is good - better than any turkey/dressing/pie combo most families can pull off at home.

@ET: Say what you want but you're missing out. Went there the other week for lunch and had some damn good blackened chicken with green beans and jalapeno mac and cheese. People have their thoughts about it but I bet haven't been in years. You just made @buffaloglenn 's point too its not about the food for you its about the cafeteria style line and the old lady serving you up.

Not sure what I'm going to do for Thanksgiving, but it won't be the traditional dinner. Â DD isn't coming home for Thanksgiving so I'll do the turkey/dressing for Christmas.May just grill out steaks (and hubs still wants his pecan pie) 4951

Turkeys from lubys (and I think grocery stores, too) are cooked but again frozen. Takes nearly as long to reheat as it would to cook a small turkey from scratch! I don't mind cooking turkey. 4951

@madgirl, lots of places have Thanksgiving dinners. Â BUT, you have to start calling now to get a reservation.Many places in the Woodlands have great set ups. Â And with the new parkway you can be there in no time Emoticon

We usually go to KCC and meet with friends. Â Not sure we are going to be in town this year, though.@SwimSwim, when we are in town, we grill steaks or make spaghetti sauce. Â I use my mil's recipe and it is a 24 ordeal Emoticon

Â It makes 18 qts. Â We never do the traditional meal. Â Except for the desserts. Â I always make sweet potato pie and pecan pie.

@Fallon:
Why the heck not?? It is one time a year, you can have sauce 364 times a year....even Christmas. Eat some turkey

Poor @ET, the only good turkey is fried. Â It isn't breaded so it isn't a nugget Emoticon

Â Unless you drink too much while frying, then it could turn into a nugget. Â I only like Turkey the next day for sandwiches. Â And my boys and dh will not eat it. Â Unless the only other option is veggies. Â lol

Honey Baked Ham, they will ship a full course dinner or go to their store in Houston and buy it from the freezer. Whole turkey, 2 sides, 2 deserts for $135 last time I checked. We usually get a ham from them every year and they are delicious. Â 4951
