It's such a sad thing to go thru but you're right, she's out of pain now.

He will so much. They would run to each other from down the street.

I completely understand; I used to keep my son's dog on weekends, when he went to see his gf in Austin. I loved it, and we would visit the Westie, his girlfriend, down the block, and let them play together. When the Westie's family moved, he would go to their gate, ay whine and look around fervently; he missed her!
