My brother is in a Vet parade in Leavenworth,Ks today !

Virginia Army National Guard, 76th Aviation Battalion, Assault Helicopter Group, Byrd Field, Richmond, VA..........nope, not a pilot....they needed a cook...and there was always cold beer in the cooler. Ask the commander. .................LOL. Not a 'Veteran'.......never been overseas.......but when I first joined, it was in a Michigan National Guard, Transportation Group, Jackson Michigan. We did help save people attempting to drive in an early March blizzard on I -94, with 4-8 ft tall snow drifts. And, yes, each of us got a Letter of Commendation from the Michigan Governor for our duty, saving lives.
