Thank you for letting us know Trey is cared for during this weather event. I understood from previous threads that he prefers being left alone so I have never spoken with him. I prayed for him specifically and all the homeless. They are frequently in my prayers. But for the grace of God we could easily be the same.
Thnx I appreciate the thought. We finally found the right cocktail to keep him stable but you are right there is no guarantee . The down side is the medication and all the manic episodes have left him less able to function as he gets older. I'm sure Trey's Mom could use the prayers too. She pops on here now and then- I know she worries and is grateful for this community
Trey loves the outdoors. It is rare for him to accept shelter but considering the extreme weather and the invite, he chose to accept. He has had employment in the past and had an apartment. He chooses to not take meds for his mental challenge. He was on meds but even then he had episodes that freaked him out thus NO meds no drugs, limit coffee and no energy drinks.
Trey has blankets and sleeping bag, Recently started to wear that shirt. Sometimes shoes. He had a tent in a friends back yard at one time but after a misunderstanding that stressed him out, he has not used it since.I offered a heating pad but he declined that. He does like Chipolte veggie burritos with guacamole and the rice, beans ,cheese. Likes fruit and berries, Limits sugar and coffee. Likes what a burger, Likes Aldi soup and peas. Likes can spinach. Not like the "healthy" bars b/c too much sugar.
Is it Sophie or Sophia, also a Kingwood graduate who used to frequent starbucks and who used to sleep where Trey stays>>>>??? Not see her for long time.
Wow and a huge thanks!
So relieved to know Trey is going to be warm during this cold weather event. We just went looking for him with a beanie, winter coat and some MRE's.
Prays for Trey, the homeless, and everyone looking to help others in need.
yes he will be at Rob's place. Yes he has blankets and sleeping bag and pillow. His mom sent him clothes he used to wear but he did not want them nor the jacket i got him nor the sweatshirt i got him. Sometimes he will wear the shoes. Yes he has a beanie
during the day he usually is at the vacant former bank next to the firestation. Sometime later in the day he may be outside subway at green oak. sometimes you may find him next to bahama mama on the lawn. Overnite he sleeps on the platform next to starbucks at the salon.
Please share any needs/wants Trey has. I'd be happy to help but only want to provide what Trey wants...not what we all think he wants.
I've been a mental health nurse so I have somewhat of an understand of his situation.
He is a minimalist. His mom sent some money for Texafornia to shop at aldi for things Trey likes to eat. I mentioned things he likes to eat. When you ask him, he says he does not need anything. Have a conversation with him. He used to like donuts and coffee in the morning but not sure if he still does. He is on a veggie kick and limits sugar so not sure that is on his diet list.
Thank you, I get it. He's allowed to live the way he chooses. Being a minimalist isn't foreign to me, my husband's been to war a couple of times and he feels the same way in a lot of situations.
