#msg6002555SorryInAdvance : I just looked it up. During the last general election, the senators debated October 15th. The Governor and his challenger debated September 30th. I'm sure they will debate. There is plenty time to schedule it. They didn't do it this early last time either. What's the rush? Texas hasn't had a lieutenant governor debate since 2014 so I doubt we'll see one of those.

MrsC67 : The first debate was scheduled for September 22nd so not far off from your timeline at all.

SorryInAdvance: I think it is smart of them to not debate. Too many facts have been brought to light they don't want to talk about;example, huge campaign contributions from owners of Data Centers, and others. The lack of transparency in many areas, ex: plans to build multiple 765Kv transmission lines from data centers near the metroplex area to the Permian Basin with no need based evaluation, no approval by Texas Engineers, sparse notification and, response to land owners, especially farmers and ranchers who will loose property to 765Kv lines.

It's hard to debate when your opponent disappears! Both candidates suck and the campaigns are very negative! Disappointing that we don't have better choices.
