As of 2021, a license to carry (LTC) is not required to carry a handgun in most public places in Texas. However, a LTC may be required to carry a handgun in another state that has a reciprocity agreement with Texas.

Not many states between Arkansas and Mississippi and I wouldn't say TX is one of them. We're below Arkansas.
