I'm all for self defense but as you say that adrenaline is a powerful drug. This reminds me of the ding dong ditch case where the kid was just annoying someone and he thought shooting a 10 yo was appropriate. Didn't have to happen. This may be an avoidable situation too. The other driver could have started the whole thing but assault is no small thing to grapple with.
The victim, who had his car vandalized and his hair ripped out of the scalp in chunks by Michael Heron (allegedly), never had a gun. They never found one in his possession or in the area. The father, Michael Heron, did have a gun, which he handed to a complete stranger who walked up to the assault in progress. The son had a club that he used in the assault. Judge Tami Pierce saw both father and son in her courtroom and they made bail. You can look up the court information on Google and call or email to voice any concerns you may have as a citizen.

So I guess the charges weren't dropped like all the new members claimed they would be. Wonder if we'll ever know what really happened…
grinchy : We will. There's only two sides to this story. We've only heard one really. The "victim's" statement wasn't very detailed in news reports. Only that he was stalked and run off the road. Id bet some road rage occurred but again, this doesn't sound like self defense as the Herons seem to say. They were charged with assault with a deadly weapon and the victim has not been arrested so……..

Screen shot/info from the TikTok video "On our way to christmas dinner, we saw two men stopped in the road, smashing in the window of another drivers car and assault them. We stopped and i ran out to help the driver. The big guy then informed me (while holding a pew) that the driver had either shot at him and other vehicles OR threw rocks at his vehicle. I called the police while they held the driver by his hair. Per the drivers behavior, teeth, and the rubbish filled car...this was obviously one methed up situation!" That's the driver being held by his hair lol.
