Ruger5 : I'm all on board for the debt free lifestyle. I was raised that way and truly believe you can win the credit game and be out of debt. Bc the credit score is a necessary evil now but you dont need to be drowning in debt to get a good score.

And, one's earnings ability has a great deal to do with the whole equation.. School teachers dont make as much as engineers. They dont get stock options or matched 401k benefits or big bonuses.. They barely get decent healthcare.
So not everyone starts out with the same money to grow and save with. Yet they have the same kind of bills and expenses. So for most people, they can't save what they dont have. 4951

blueyes: No jealousy here. My DH worked his way up the proverbial ladder with lots of dedication, hard work and long hours. All the way up to senior executive level. So this is not a new concept. Ruger5 : I seriously doubt ET is in debt and needs your financial advice. Nor did he ask for it. But it was freely given. So along those lines, I offer my etiquette lessons in hopes to educate and enrich. LOL

SandyKnee : lol, good luck with that. 4951

Trying to decide if we should stick it under mattress. With interest rates so low why not🤬.

Ruger5 : Why not? Because that much money would make your mattress lumpy and you would not sleep well on it. 4951

Debt free - it's the new wealth

Ruger5 : Not sure I would call that wealth, but for certain being debt free provides peace of mind. I wish we had understood that a lot sooner; we could have spent significantly less than we did spend over the years. 4951
