The service station at corner of north park and west lake Houston, next to it is Kingwood car service I think is the name. Been there forever and has good reviews. Can do all you need done

We have all of our routine maintenance done at Pep Boys on North Park. Oscar and his crew take great care of our 2 vehicles. Even my DW doesn't mind going there if I'm not available to take her car in for service. Oil changes, inspections, brakes, alignments... they've done it all for us. We've used them for many years.

For inspections I use EMC Car Care and Towing - 22855 Gasoline Alley - New Caney, TX 77357. Many repair places use inspections to drum up business, failing cars for minor and even sometimes imagined "issues" trying to get repair business. EMC has a no pass/no charge policy. If you don't pass they don't get paid. They're highly motivated to pass your car without a hassle on silly stuff. No funny business at all, and they're good folks. It's a very slight ride (15 - 20 min maybe?) but in my mind it's worth it. They're right off 494 in New Caney. Also, no appointments needed. It's rare that I have to wait, and when I do it's usually no more than 10-15 minutes. I'm usually in and out in less than 30 minutes. As for repairs, they're usually done in my garage. At least I get along with the mechanic, unless he's in a bad mood.

We use Christian Brothers on Northpark. They've been honest, reasonable and helpful.A good friend uses G & S and has recommended them. I believe they are on Northpark near NAPA

proudgram52: we use Kingwood Service Center. Reliable, honest service all of the time. We've never had a problem in 25 yrs. It's in the corner of Northpark and West Lake Houston, behind the Shell Station.

I go to Sun Auto on Northpark. you can book online, and they have a coupon that will save you money if you do that. also, look online before you go, and ask the young men in there to pull in all possible coupons, and they will be glad to! They are not pushy but they will look through and see what your car will need in the future, so you can decide when to have it done. They do Not try to upsell you with every little thing, and I really appreciate that. I'm quite a gearhead, but I'm sure all they see is a little, older lady , who they think doesn’t know the difference between a carburetor and a camshaft!

Thanks to all for the suggestions….we chose Kingwood Service center…..and If more stars were available to give for a rating, I would give them to these gentlemen! We are not only new to the area but elderly as well and rest assured Mr, Mitch and his team took very good care of us going above and beyond. If anybody needs a reference before taking their mechanical issues to Kingwood Service Center, ask Mr. Mitch for my contact information.
