Sterling and their fees So you go online to pay your exorbitant trail and HOA fees. Usually when you pay by bank draft no fees. They tack on an extra 2.25 or 2.75 to your payment for administrative fees. Greedy idiots! And I still don't understand why Elm grove also has to pay Sherwood trails trail fees. I think I'm going to start attending these meetings.

Because they manage the trails in Elm Grove probably. Many villages don't maintain their own trails.
If you think Sterling is bad, try dealing with the woman who owns KSA. She seems to believe that we all bought houses here solely to provide an income for her and her business. I have no issues with the HOA fees and the trails fees. It's all the add-ons that she herself charges that are pure profit for her and that she absolutely refuses to answer residents questions about that boil my blood.
Want to buy a house? You'll pay her. Want to sell a house? You'll pay her. Want to get a mortgage? You'll pay her. Want to refinance? You'll pay her.
The fees involved are ridiculous considering the mere minutes it takes her to accomplish her duties. If you ask her to explain the basis for her fees in writing she will absolutely refuse to answer in writing, clearly to avoid leaving a written record of what she said, and if you push the issue she will totally ignore you. If you refuse to pay her fees until you get an explanation, she will start foreclosure on your property and the legal fees for the pitbull ambulance chaser lawyers she immediately sics on you will total thousands of dollars PER WEEK.
She's an entitled disgrace. Read the Google reviews. The entitled arrogance is amazing.

When I read whiny heinie posts like this I just shake my head. When was the last time you attended your community's HOA Board or Trail Association meeting.
Look, you moved into a community with an HOA. Either put up, shut up, or leave to a non-HOA community.

mattem : Dont even get me started! There should be an itemized statement what they spend imo. That aside, deed restricted community means NOTHING if HOA does not (chooses not to) enforce it's own rules. Yes, your community could easily become a fifth ward community………because HOA's refuse to spend the money to mow lawns of chronic rule breakers…….so just what DO they do with our dues that are intended to protect one of our biggest assets? They brag they make sure the entrances have pretty flowers…..well who the hell cares if you live next door to a deer lease? Our dues are meant to protect us from that. 😡😡😡

mattem : Elm Grove AND Sherwood Trails have a shared trail system. Both villages contribute to the maintenance and upkeep of the trails. segtakingwood.com/ When I read whiny heinie posts like this I just shake my head. Ticagro : Ethel sucks!!
You have to sign up with some backwater out of state fleabag S&L type bank, create an account with login and password with them, sign on through there, try to remember the password format that they demand you use, and on and on and on. From the looks of this outdated ridiculous system, I assume they still accept Bank Americard and Diners Club as well. You just can't make this stuff up.
