Steps we can do to improve Kingwood Who doesn't want to see our Kingwood neighborhood grow healthier and strong? Let's make a list of things we can do to maintain it, improve it, grow it. Perhaps the Mayor will read this and help us in our journey. Here are a few to get started...please feel free to ADD your ideas! 1. Make your home's appearance clean, tidy, and well kept. 2. Keep vehicles clean (and garaged), where possible. 3. Pick up any trash or debris in the street and surrounding area. 4. Encourage neighbors to participate...assist them to get ball rolling. 5. Make your subdivision a "Crime Watch Area" - work with Police to get signs posted. 6. Volunteer at the local churches and schools as extra hands are always helpful. 7. Obey traffic laws...set the example.

Maver1ck : You forgot don't encourage, condone or promote street begging.

There are right ways to give - there are wrong ways to give. Give responsibility.

Maver1ck :
Know and talk to your neighbors. It's the cheapest and most effective security system.

I love the idea of maybe a monthly get together to walk around and pick up garbage. I have seen a couple walking in the morning with an empty Kroger bag and they pick up stray pieces on their walk. I'm so impressed!
