It's now 20 hours waiting in ER. No room yet. An hour ago, they told her they had a room, but before they could get her, they gave it to someone else.

TXSunDvl : Sometimes it's not that there isn't an actual room available. It's having nursing staff to take care of the patient. I did 28 hours in St. Luke's ER with my DH one time. I thought that night would never end. Hope your wife gets better soon. 4951
We saw her PCP and Physiatrist yesterday, and they both recommended going through the ER to get admitted and checked out. The ER was overrun yesterday for some reason.
TXSunDvl : I hope your wife's condition will be improving quickly once testing is done and probable cause for her symptoms is determined. And I hope hope hope it will be something like a Vitamin B12 deficiency -- I mean something that was unexpected and maybe unusual but actually very easy to treat effectively. 4951

TXSunDvl : That is insane, they both could have written direct admit orders, unless they are not credentialed at Methodist and want to use their hospitalists there to do the care
