There may already be one now that I think of it. But he definitely needs the city to come out there. That is unbelievable.

Either way I would have my contract handy and read it thoroughly, take photos of everything and send a email with everything attached including all pages of the lease or agreement. Date stamped and time if emailed and certified mail. Keep a paper trail file for his records. Lastly, does he have an early termination clause written in his lease? If so, address that in writing that due to explaining uninhabitable conditions in the correspondence request detailed maintenance needed.

Slum landlord advice needed. My son has had it and wants to break his lease. The bathroom conditions are deplorable. He has reported it, reported it and reported it and nothing gets done. It is dangerously unhealthy. We need as many resources as possible. I have suggested reporting to BBB, Houston apartment association. He is going to threaten to take these pictures to places such as Yelp, google reviews, **** consumer etc. I am attaching pictures so please scroll but I warn you...a bit shocking. Thanks for y'alls help.
