Sincere concern: Why does a family community this size not have

have a chocolate lab mix that was thrown from a moving car into the street in front of my house. kept it in a shoebox the first week. it thinks small dogs are just big squirrels or possums. Son's lady friend sometimes brings a really friendly Pekinese over and the lab just wants to eat it.

YES!!! Just like the one they have in Atascocita called Trail of the lakes MUD DOG PARK beautiful park!

I would only do a dog park if it was members only with consequences. Which ironically would probably mean I would get the boot(my dogs is rowdy) but its would mitigate some of the safety issues.

Yea it's in their nature as hunting dogs. My pure bred lab was bought by his former owners as a hunting/ retrieving dog. Pretty sure he didn't know what he was doing with the training as loud sounds ( similar to gun shots) scare him and any living small thing is prey. I always search the yard for quail before I let him out. It has taken me years of rehabbing him ( thanks to Al Longoria) to get him to focus on me and ignore everything else. We train everyday! He doesn't lunge after bunnies now, but I still wouldn't trust him off lead with small animals. He is the sweetest dog with a great big dumb Lab brain 🤣

The disc golf course is used by many people on a daily basis. So yes it was a good idea. It gets people off of the couch and moving. You should give it a shot. Also many people bring their dogs to the course and let them follow along as they play their round
