Property owners should have to vote to increase HOA assessments. They do in my hood and I think it is state law?
PhotophanaticIV : They have votes for representatives. I haven't seen any votes come through u for something like an increase.

ExCTGuyInTX : Turns out that they transposed the amounts. So it is $472 + change and has gone up $80. for the Splash Pad that we will never use. There are quite a few homes here and I wonder how much that splash pad cost in the first place. I'm on fixed income and they and the MUD have eaten all of my COLA up without any prior notice.
mattem : Ours is in the summer but Christmas time is awful but is it ever a good time.
billcherie2 : I agree with that for sure! January is the worst timing with property taxes due also! Sandcreek sends out their bills in the summer, at least.
muffy : our HOA sends it out in Dec wanting payment Jan 1st. Of course they also have the highest late fees. « Back to Chat
